Energy retrofit
Insulation, EPB, ventilation, heat pumps and support with the RENOLUTION grant files.
Energy retrofit is decided by the order of operations: insulate first, ventilate next, replace the heat source last. Taking the steps the other way round oversizes the installation and means paying twice. We price these works for their real effect on comfort, not just on the EPB certificate.
What we take on
- Roof, wall and floor insulation
- Replacement or restoration of windows, double and triple glazing
- Single and dual-flow ventilation with heat recovery
- Heat pumps, condensing boilers, underfloor heating
- Airtightness and treatment of thermal bridges
- Preparation of grant files and coordination with the EPB assessor
Who it is for
Owners facing future EPB requirements, rented properties, older energy-hungry houses.
[ Frequent questions ]
Do you handle the RENOLUTION grants?
We prepare the technical documents: compliant quotes, before-works photographs, certificates and itemised invoices. The application is filed by you or by an approved advisor; conditions and amounts are set by Brussels Environment and change every year.
Is an audit needed before the works?
For some grants, yes. And in every case the audit shows the most cost-effective order of works.
Is a heat pump suitable for an older house?
Only if the envelope has been insulated and the emitters run at low temperature. Otherwise the bill rises instead of falling.
Can you insulate internally without condensation?
Yes, with a coherent system: the right material, a continuous vapour check and working ventilation. It is a detail that demands careful execution.
What savings can I expect?
It depends entirely on the starting condition and how the house is used; we would rather give no figure before the audit than promise a percentage.
